Revital with baby Yasho

Hello friend, I’m so glad you’re here.

I’m Revital, a Santa Cruz based postpartum doula, wellness coach, dancer, and natural medicine maker. I am also a mother to a beautiful girl who is now a grown-up and works as a labor and delivery nurse.

I specialize in supporting mothers in their postpartum healing and beyond.

I bridge between traditional and modern practices to bring you the best of both worlds, so you can fully heal and thrive.

It’s my absolute passion to support and guide you during this transformative and sacred time, so you can feel even better than before pregnancy!

About Revital as a Doula

My commitment to you

I am dedicated to supporting you through your postpartum journey in ways that empower you to live your truth. I respect and honor your unique path to motherhood and am privileged to accompany you during this profound and transformative period.

The postpartum phase is a tender and powerful time to reset and restore your physical and emotional well-being. Allow me to help you establishing sustainable practices to support your family and embrace your new role with confidence.

I will provide you with unwavering presence and guidance as you gain confidence caring for your newborn and for yourself as a mother.

Every newborn, mother, and family are unique - I’m excited to discover how I can support YOU.

Supporting you through postpartum, every step of the way.

I specialize in physiological and emotional support to help you heal and thrive as a new mother. I bring to the table tried and true traditional cultures practices and extensive education and experience.

I am a Certified Doula, Certified Infant Massage Educator, Wellness Coach, Certified Massage Therapist, Certified Yoga Teacher, Ayurvedic Medicine Practitioner, Dance Teacher, Perinatal Mental Health Certified, Herbalist, and Trauma-Informed Postpartum Doula.

I'm NOT a medical professional. I work OUTSIDE the Medical paradigm to support you, the mama, to recover from birth, and thrive, naturally.

My role is to listen, nurture, and empower you to attend to your physical, emotional, and spiritual needs while adapting to motherhood.

As your postpartum doula, I am dedicated to supporting you through this transformative journey into motherhood with care and expertise.

With a background in wellness coaching, Ayurvedic medicine, and holistic bodywork, I focus on facilitating your natural recovery from birth and pregnancy, while caring for your new babe.

Birth is a profound rite of passage, marked by significant hormonal shifts and multitude of emotions. Becoming a mother is a lifelong adventure, bringing both profound joy and numerous challenges. I am here to help you navigate these challenges with resourcefulness and resilience.

The initial days of motherhood are tender and precious, deserving of support. I take pleasure in learning about you and working together to create a postpartum care plan tailored to your needs and values.

When I became a mother, I did not have the support of a doula. I wish I had known then what I know now!

Every parent deserves support, compassion, a listening ear, accurate information, time to heal, and practical assistance with household and family needs. I strive to be the doula I wish I had! look forward to the opportunity to support you and your family.

“Revital is a multi-talented individual with magical values. She is a very understanding, patient, sweet and wise woman. Working with her should be an easy decision you won’t regret. She has been an important part of my postpartum journey with my twin little boys. I truly believe she was made to help others in this way. We will forever be grateful!”

Fun Facts

That may help you get to know me better!

  •   Dance is one of my biggest passions. I’m a classical Indian dancer (Odissi) and founded Shakti Bhakti School of Dance & Ensemble in 2010. I still teach occasionally in Santa Cruz and run an online dance school, sharing this beautiful art form with students worldwide.

  • Nature is my sanctuary. I love camping, hiking, swimming, dancing under the open sky, making fires—anything that connects me to the elements. Much of my choreographic inspiration comes from natural movement patterns.

  • I’m a lifelong herbal alchemist. I started experimenting with herbal formulations as a teenager and have been making my own health and beauty products ever since. I’m also a huge DIY enthusiast in general!

  • Food is my love language. The organic, homegrown, beautifully prepared kind. I love growing, cooking, hosting, and savoring nourishing, delicious meals.

  •  A question I get a lot is: are you a yoga teacher? I am! But I’m much more than that. I have a deep love for esoteric texts, spiritual practices, and rituals. I spent most of my 20s living in India, studying Buddhist meditation, yoga, natural medicine, and dance. For the past 20+ years, I’ve been practicing Taoist cultivation and am also into Pilates and Qigong. I’ve woven these influences into a system I created called Movement Medicine.

  • Touch is my language of healing. I began my bodywork journey in 1993, studying Zen-Shiatsu in Jerusalem. Since then, I’ve trained in multiple massage and bodywork modalities and have (professionally) touched thousands of people! I’m also an Infant Massage Educator and deeply believe in touch as a profound form of medicine.

  • Books were my first love. As a child, they were my refuge; I devoured them to escape pain. Now, I read mostly for learning and for fun. Writing is another passion of mine.

  •  I’ve been married twice. I almost welcomed #3 recently, but it didn’t work out. Now, I’m happily single for the first time in my adult life!

  •  I have one incredible daughter. She’s strong, healthy, and empowered, and we’re very close. Part of me wishes I had more children, but then I might not have accomplished all the other amazing things I’ve done. So, I trust that life is perfect as it is (one of the mottos I live by).

  • I usually keep my private life private... So sharing this list is a huge step out of character! 😉
